The F1/F2 hsplit/vsplit bindings only work in the splits layout, which was enabled solely for the session's first tab. Tabs opened with F3 fell back to the default layouts and ignored the split direction. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Load cursor-trail-lightning, dim-inactive-windows, tab-change and focus-highlight. Override the bundled tab-change pipeline to use the iris reveal at 400ms instead of the 600ms wipe. Config moved here from ~/.config/kitty, which now symlinks to it. Cleaned up for kitty 0.49.0: drop invalid fold markers and unknown status/time options, fix cursor_trail_start_threshold spelling, replace deprecated scrollback_indicator_opacity with scrollbar scrolled-or-hovered.
